Yvan P. Lambert

Yvan P. Lambert, 79, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and children, on Friday, December 30, 2022. Born in Hermenegilde, Quebec, Canada on December 28, 1943, he was the second oldest of nine children born to his late beloved parents, Aubert and Beatrice (Labreque) Lambert. Raised and educated in Colebrook, NH, Yvan attended Our Lady of Grace Academy. He later joined the US Navy and served aboard the Franklin Roosevelt for four years. After discharge he moved to Springfield, where he became a mason tender. Yvan married the love of his life and soulmate, Gloria “Cookie” Boudle in May of 1967. They started their lives together in Ludlow, where they raised their two children. Yvan was a quiet, reserved man who was a listener and enjoyed what others had to say, but he could also be very witty. Most of all he loved with his whole heart and was very kind. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, spending time at his camp that he owned with three of his friends in PA. He always looked forward to camping with family and friends, as well as taking his bass boat and fishing with his son. Yvan was blessed to be able to do a lot of traveling, and had many wonderful trips with so many. He greatly anticipated big family reunions when the family would come from all over to connect. Yvan worked hard, and with dedication built a very successful masonry company, Yvan Lambert Mason Contractor, Inc., in business from 1978 to 2009. His family brought him so much happiness and he was proud of all their accomplishmens. Yvan was definitely the monarch of his family and was always ready to help in any way he could. He attended all the tournaments, games and milestones of his three granddaughters. Yvan left us with so many good, funny, and most of all, happy memories. He was so proud at the end that he was able to celebrate Christmas and his 79th birthday with all of us, Until we are together again, know how much we love you and will miss you. In addition to his parents, Yvan was predeceased in 2018 by his brother, Robert. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Cookie; loving children, Scott Lambert of West Springfield, and Shelley Rowell and husband Ed, and their three daughters, Shelby, Kailey and Adyson, of Westfield; caring siblings, Gilles (Priscilla) Lambert of West Stewartstown, NH, Bruno (Micheline) Lambert of Bedford, NH, Louise Haynes (Paul) of Colebrook, Lise (Lawrence) Andrews of Colebrook, Armand (Lorie) Lambert of Essex Jct., VT, Francois (Emmalee) Lambert of Matthews, NC, and Nicole (Craig) Johnson of Colebrook; sister-in-law, Bonnie Lambert of Colebrook; brothers-in-law, Clifton (Ghislaine) Boudle and Dennis (Ida) Boudle, both of Colebrook; and many cherished nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours, and a celebration of Yvan’s life, and his burial, will be held in Colebrook in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Dr., Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
