Bruno J. Glaszcz, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center, with his loving family at his side. Born in Zacholec, Poland on February 19, 1940, son of the late Joseph and Genowefa (Kaminski) Glaszcz, he has resided locally for over forty years. A communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr, Bruno retired after many years of service as a millwright for Sonoco Paper Mill in Holyoke. He was an avid outdoorsman, and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years Bruno was a bowler, and more recently had proven to be an accomplished golfer. He always looked forward to getting together with his hunting buddies. Bruno is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Danuta (Przybyl) Bogel Glaszcz; loving children, Troy Glaszcz of Goshen and Robin Glaszcz of St. Croix, V.I., and step-children, John S. Bogel and wife Zita of Ludlow and Jola Mills and husband Steve of Oklahoma; cherished grandson, Benjamin Glaszcz of Goshen, and step-grandchildren, Sydney, Casey, and Noam Mills; brothers, Francis Glaszcz and wife Kathy of Wisconsin, Skip Glaszcz and wife Rose of Sheffield, Edward Glaszcz and wife Sharon of Granby, and Steve Glaszcz and wife Sharon of Sunderland; sister-in-law, Joanne Glaszcz of Ayer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Glaszcz, and sisters, Barbara Presnol and Myra Glaszcz. Funeral services for Bruno will be held Friday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica.
