Evelyn R. (Moskal) Storozuk, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center, with loving family at her side. Born January 10, 1941, daughter of the late Bronislaw and Josephine (Kuzdzal) Moskal, she was a graduate of the High School of Commerce, Class of 1958. Evelyn was a parishioner of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr. Along with her late husband and family, she owned and operated Wally’s Fruit Shop in Springfield for ten years, and Minuteman Press in West Springfield for nine years. Evelyn was an avid seamstress, making clothing, and beautiful handbags, that are still treasured today. She also taught her skills to many future sewers. Evelyn greatly enjoyed the many years they spent on the Connecticut River, picnicking and skiing, with their many friends and families that had boats. She truly enjoyed her monthly ‘Girls Club’ lunch which began after high school and continued until recent years. Evelyn was predeceased in 2018 by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Walter J. Storozuk. She is survived by her loving children, Kathryn Storozuk and Cynthia Storozuk, both of Springfield, and Thomas J. Storozuk and wife Judy of Newbury, NH; cherished grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph and Kaylyn Storozuk; caring brother, Richard Moskal and wife Sheila; brother-in-law, Peter Szarek and wife Patricia, sister-in-law, Bernice Rueli and husband Frank; and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her canine companion, Maddy. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held Tuesday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 8-9:45AM.
