Fedor G. Saikin, 90, passed in the comfort of his loving family at home on Monday morning, March 20, 2017. He was born on June 1, 1926 to the late Egor & Aleksandra (Belyakova) Saikin in Siberia. In 1953, after military service, he married the best girl in town, Nina Pirozhkova. Fedor didn't just make a life, he created a legacy! He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nina, & their wonderful children, Tatiyana Shlemanova, Nikolay Saikin, Nadezhda Agapova, Olga Rumyantsev, Vera & husband Timofey Matsuk, & Vladimir Saikin. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Anna, Nikolay & Kseniya, son-in-law, Vladimir Shlemanov & leaves two surviving brothers, Grigoriy & Petr, & their wives. As a devoted grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Dmitriy & fiancé Anna, Yuliya, Alexander, Andrei & wife Galina, Dmitriy A., Sandra, Mark, Tatiana & husband Ivan, Denis, David, Arthur, Andrey, Anastasia, Diana & Angela Shlemanova; & his great grandchildren Anna, Ilya, Timothy, Abigail, Andrey & Gianna. He also leaves behind in-laws, Sergey Agapov, Alex Rumyantsev, Antonina & Inga, many nieces, nephews & extended family. Fedor was a long time member of the Slavic Pentecostal Church in West Springfield & a true man of faith. He lived to be of service to others, & his great example will continue to inspire for generations. A special thank you is extended to his doctors, nurses, & PCAs - Galina, Natalia, Sandra Z. & Victor. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 23rd from 6-7pm at Church of New Covenant, 938 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA, followed by a service at 7pm. Burial service will be held on Friday at 11am at the Church of New Covenant .
