Frances S. Taborowski, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Willimansett West Nursing Center. Born in Westfield on September 15, 1925, daughter of the late Jan and Mary (Kozlowski) Taborowski, she moved to Chicopee at a young age, attended St. Stanislaus School, and graduated from Chicopee High School in 1943. A parishioner of St. Stanislaus Basilica, Frances was employed as an inspector for twenty-eight years at F.W. Sickles until the company’s southern move. She continued working at Jerrold Mfg. until her retirement in 1994. Frances was an avid gardener and looked forward to spring each year so she could begin planting. Her friends and neighbors often benefited from her vegetable deliveries. She was a kind and generous person, not only with her time, but donating often to many charities. Frances was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and Henry Taborowski, and her sisters, Helen Bryll, Josephine Bryll and Mary Kennedy. Frances is survived, to cherish her memory, by her nieces Kathleen Desrochers and husband James of Chicopee, Maureen Kennedy and husband Anthony Athanas, Jr. of Boston; nephew, David Bryll and wife Sheila of E. Hartland, CT; nieces Karen Tellier and husband Mark of Palm Coast, FL, and Marcia Matway of Rocky Hill, CT; along with many grandnieces and nephews. Funeral services for Frances will be held Tuesday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. A calling hour is Tuesday from 8:45-9:45AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund of St. Stanislaus School, 534 Front St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
