Jeanette M. (Kagan) Tyminski, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. Born July 22, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Stefanik) Kagan, she was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Jeanette was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr and a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1953. She was a retired trainer and cashier for the Ames Department Store. Jeanette was predeceased in 1997 by her beloved husband, Richard P. Tyminski and is survived by her loving daughter, Lynn Ann Carter and her husband Justin, of Sturbridge; her cherished grandchildren Dylan and Jack, a brother, John Kagan and two sisters, Estelle Kagan and Mary Ann Kagan, all of Chicopee; two nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Emily Mizejewski and two brothers, Stanley Kagan and Joseph J. Kagan, Jr. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9AM from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry, 170 Pendexter Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01013 or the charity of one’s choice.
