Michael S. “Skeez” Topor, Jr., 75, a lifelong Chicopee resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Wingate of South Hadley. Born on October 19, 1940 in the Chinatown section of Chicopee, son of the late Michael, Sr. and Rose (Niziankiewicz) Topor, he retired after thirty years of service for Storms Drop Forge. Michael was an avid fisherman, enjoyed sports and was a member of the Tigers AC. Michael is survived by his longtime beloved companion, Cindy L. O’Connor; his loving brothers, Louis Topor and his wife Joan of Chicopee, John Topor of Springfield, and William Topor and his wife Carol of Spokane, WA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Gladys Piacentini and Barbara Towsley. A funeral home service will be held Friday morning at 11AM in Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, with burial following in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9-10:45AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
