Peter A. Orwat Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Peter A. Orwat, 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Born October 7, 1963, son of Edward Orwat and Leona (Boivert) Orwat, he was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Peter was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School, Class of 1981. Peter was the owner and president of Evergreen Construction Co. and a member of Life Point Church. He served on the Board of Directors of the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club. He was an avid camper, enjoyed trips to Florida, especially to Disney World with his family. A loving father and a doting grandfather, family was the center of Peter’s life. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-four years, Dawn D. (Ouimet) Orwat; his loving parents, Edward Orwat, of South Hadley and Leona Orwat, of Amherst; three loving children, Nicholas A. Orwat, Jordan E. Orwat and Jeremiah J. Orwat, all of Chicopee; a cherished grandson, Liam and his mother Molly Keegan; and two brothers, Christopher Orwat and wife Michelle, of Southampton and Daniel Orwat and wife Jillian, of Southampton. A funeral service for Peter will be held Saturday at 10:30AM in Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours from 8:30-10:30AM will precede the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Chicopee Boys and Girls Club, 580 Meadow St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
