Robert J. Bushey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert J. Bushey, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born January 14, 1937, son of the late William and Rhea (Leclair) Bushey, he was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow. Robert worked in the trucking industry and retired from Teamsters Local 404 after many years of service. He was an avid bowler and Red Sox fan, and greatly enjoyed trips to the casinos. Robert was predeceased in May, 2020, by his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Helen (Veneski) Bushey. He is survived by four loving daughters, Carolyn Burke and husband John Michael of Wilbraham, Linda Salvador of Waterbury, CT, Cynthia Stoner and husband Billy of Chicopee, and Kristina McCarthy and husband Rich of Ludlow; fourteen cherished grandchildren, Rob Peters and wife Maureen, Rick Peters and fiancee Blair, Jessica Salazar and husband Dan, Matt Peters and fiancee Estefani, Chris Peters and wife Amanda, Zachary Peters, Jacob Peters, Armando Salvador, Vanessa Greaney and husband Daniel, Cory Stoner, Desirae Johnson and husband Jeff, Jordan Majane, Kierra McCarthy, and Jared McCarthy; eleven cherished great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Bushey and wife Marilyn; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth, Butchy, Alice and Marion. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at Christ the King Church at 11AM on Thursday for a Mass of Christian Burial, with burial following in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Walk-through calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:30-6:30PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee.
