Teofila (Majocha) Laskowska, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Pulanki, Poland on January 4, 1930 daughter of the late Jan and Anna (Galaska) Majocha, she lived in Chicopee for the past forty years. Teofila was an elementary school teacher in Poland and later taught Polish at St. Stanislaus School. She also worked for the John Lyman Co. She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr and a member of the Polish Women’s Circle. Teofila was predeceased in 1983 by her beloved husband, Mieczyslaw Laskowski. Teofila is survived by four loving children, Artur Laskowski and his wife Halina, of Chicopee, Boguslawa Kaczor and her husband Jan, of Willington, CT, Wieslawa Strzepek, of Chicopee, and Krzysztof Laskowski, of Chicopee; three siblings, Wladyslawa Buczek, of Chicopee, Janina Karas, of Chicopee, and Marian Majocha and his wife Maria, of Indian Orchard; nine loving grandchildren, Miroslaw Laskowski and his wife Beata, Sebastian Laskowski and his wife Mary, Anna Artioli and her husband Joseph, Piotr Kaczor, Anna Kaczor, Paulina Kaczor, Waldemar Starzyk, Agnieszka Nicora and her husband Steven, and Nicole Nowak; and four cherished great grandchildren, Aniela, Joey, Olivia and Isabella. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Zenon Buczek and Edward Karas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9a.m. from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7p.m.
