Theodore “Ted” P. Pienkos, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. Born May 9, 1955, son of the late Theodore, Sr. and Stefania (Lentowski) Pienkos, he had lived in Chicopee for most of his life. Ted was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr, and a graduate of Chicopee High School. He retired after twenty years of service from the Nixon Co. in Indian Orchard and previously had worked for many years at Spalding Sports Corp. Ted greatly enjoyed golfing and camping, and was an avid sports fan of all our Boston teams. He was a car enthusiast and diligently cared for his own sets of wheels. Ted was predeceased in 2019 by his sister, Susan M. Lavoie and in 2007 by his sister, Helen Shea. He is survived by his caring brother-in-law, Arthur J. Lavoie of Chicopee; loving nieces, Stacey A. Maydak and husband Rick of Mansfield, and Lindsay A. Yacovone and husband Paul of East Longmeadow; treasured great nieces and nephews, Jacob and Kaylin Maydak, and Paul and Grace Yacovone; lifelong best friend, Steve Krol of Chicopee, and devoted friend, Josephine Frederick of Chicopee. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Ted at 10AM on Saturday in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York City, NY 10006.
