HOLYOKE--Zbigniew W. “Z” Galazka, 52, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center with his loving mother by his side. Born in Pisz, Poland on May 6, 1960, he is the son of Daniela (Szulc) Galazka and the late Jerzy Galazka. Zbigniew lived in Holyoke for the past twenty eight years and previously resided in Indian Orchard. He also lived in the Dominican Republic for a year. He served in the US Army and later worked for Arrow Elastic Co., W.M. Wright Co., of West Warren and Hardwick Knitted Fabrics, of Warren. He was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. Along with his mother, Daniela Galazka, of Holyoke, Zbigniew is survived by five aunts, Janina Kokoszyn, and her husband Richard, of Chicopee, Regina Dybski and her husband Stanley, of Chicopee, Barbara Grajko and her husband Kazimierz, of Chicopee, Maria Consedine and her husband Michael, of Longmeadow, and Zofia Galazka, of Poland; an uncle, Joseph Szulc and his wife Izabela, of Chicopee; and many cousins. Funeral services for Zbigniew will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 PM.
